This site is a personal blog/photo cataloging project by the Church Historian of Center Church. For the official website of the New Haven Crypt Association — an independent 501(c)(3) organization — please go to http://newhavencrypt.com.
A work in progress, begun May 2014. Scroll to bottom menu and hit “follow” to subscribe to tombstone updates via email. The history blog is here.
Authorship of tombstone bios:
Original (plain) text is adapted from the research and writings of Center Church Historian Emertius Deb Townshend, compiled from the Ancient Records Series in the Library of New Haven Colony Historical Society and originally published by the church in 2001.
Corrections, additions, and all background narrative written by site author and current Church Historian M.R. Georgevich — found through more recent research — appear in italics; all works cited in new text can be found here. Please use the contact form below for permission to reproduce/proper attribution for photos and text.
All photos were taken by the site author and are the copyright of Center Church.
